Original-Einsendung aus den Niederlanden, im englischen Wortlaut belassen: ein Cecotto mit Schnitzer-Vergangenheit.

I bought this car in September 2002. The previous owner had it for 11 years and could no longer keep it because of his illness. I am the third owner. It is Cecotto number 368 and the colour is Nogarosilber. The car is equipped with a black leather interior, electric sunroof, electric windows, large OBC, a rear-window sunblind and a BMW sound system (now with CD player). And it still has the sticker in the window that tells how to drive it for the first few thousand kilometres.

The car was delivered to its original Dutch owner by a German garage in Aachen, the Schnitzer outlet. Although it was delivered by a German garage, the car has had Dutch plates from the start. The car is equipped with Schnitzer suspension (front struts, and springs and dampers all round). It has Schnitzer name tags and Schnitzer front and rear stress bars. I don't know if it has any other Schnitzer parts. All original BMW struts, springs and dampers came with the car when I bought it. The rear Schnitzer/Bilstein shocks were later replaced by yellow Konis.

The previous owner put a stainless steel exhaust under the car that gives a nice sound. I have the original damper with the car, but it cannot be put in simply, as the exhaust pipes were altered slightly to fit the new exhaust. I also have a set of nice 17-inch wheels with the car, but I like the original black BBS better.

The car has now done 78,000 km, of which I have driven 15,000 km in the past 12 months. I plan to keep it for some years to come …
