Fotostory: Michaël, Schnitzer S3 aus Belgien – der 95. gebaute M3

Original-Einsendung aus Belgien, im englischen Wortlaut belassen: ein ganz früher M3 von September 1986, Jahre später zum Schnitzer S3 aufgebaut.

Hello, this is my E30 M3. It's a September 1986 car and the 95th M3 produced in history. One of the very early ones – even the lights in the mirror and the boot light are missing on this car. I'm the third owner now. The first owner had the car for 7 years and only used it to go on holiday. The car was in original shape then, and the only options were Diamantschwarz paint and beige leather interior. The car has no sunroof.

The second owner brought the car to Schnitzer in 1994 and they equipped it as a Schnitzer S3 (suspension, stress bars, steering wheel, pedals, …) – except the engine, because he was afraid the engine wouldn't last very long. Therefore the engine was prepared by Kempower in Belgium. It's still a 2.3 litre but with the following specifications: compression ratio of 11:1, Schrick 278° camshafts, reprogrammed ECU, Evo 2 airbox, prepared cylinder head. Power output is now 247 PS at 7000 rpm and 258 Nm at 5200 rpm.

The wheels are AZEV A 7.5x17 ET20 at the front and 8.5x17 ET13 at the rear, with Dunlop SP9000 in 215/40 front and 245/35 rear. The engine has now run 15,000 km while the car has covered 120,000 km. The car is in excellent shape and is only driven at weekends.

Future plans are a Sport Evo rear spoiler and an Alpha-N setup with airbox this winter. I'm also searching for some original 16″ wheels. I like this car a lot, but I'll sell it immediately when I can find a good Sport Evo.
